I recently ordered from DoorDash and got a fish tray, a goat and lamb mandi half tray (which was supposed to include four pieces of meat), and chapli kebab. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. The kebab I received was not chapli kebab, it was a completely different kind. The goat and lamb mandi had a bad smell in both the meat and the rice, which made it inedible. On top of that, the rice was just plain yakhni (broth) rice with no proper flavor or effort put into it, nothing like what mandi is supposed to taste like. The only item that was acceptable was the fish tray. Everything else was a complete letdown. It honestly feels like they don’t know how to properly prepare Yemeni dishes. This was a waste of hard-earned money. This was my first time ordering from here, and it will definitely be my last. There is still a chance to make this right by issuing a refund through DoorDash. I placed the order two days ago (april 10) and had to throw the food away because it was not edible.

Absolutely disgusting experience at Pakwan House. I ordered the grilled chicken to-go, and it was clearly reheated, old, and low-quality. The texture was dry and rubbery, with a stale taste like it had been sitting for days—honestly felt like eating leftover chicken from weeks ago. Some pieces were dry and burnt on the outside but still weirdly soggy inside , which is a huge red flag. This is supposed to be a Pakistani restaurant known for fresh, flavorful food, but this was the complete opposite. No freshness, no care, just poorly reheated meat served to customers. If you’re looking for authentic Pakistani food in Houston, do yourself a favor and avoid this place completely. There are way better options that actually serve fresh food. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money and time.

Came right away to make sure to leave a comment food is absolutely delicious. Flavorful and affordable. Definitely give this spot a try! I had chicken over rice, garlic, naan, and some Samosa

The food was delicious—especially the goat mandi and the mixed grill family platter. Everything was well-seasoned and flavorful. The only downside was the portion size, which felt a bit small for the price. Still, a solid spot for quality food!
