I’ve been to Tacos Frontera on Mason Road quite a few times, and it has become one of my favorite taco spots in the area. If you’re looking for authentic Tijuana-style tacos, this is the place to go. I’ve tried the burrito, several different tacos, and the elote, and everything has been consistently fresh and flavorful. My personal favorite is the carne asada tacos. The meat is always tender, well-seasoned, and packed with flavor. Their green salsa is absolutely amazing and is one of the main reasons I keep coming back. The elote is also really good and definitely worth ordering. One thing I love is the complimentary chicharrón they offer while you wait. They’re always fresh and pair perfectly with the salsa. The only downside is that the restaurant is fairly small and extremely popular, so it can get very crowded during peak hours. It can sometimes be difficult to find a seat after placing your order. That said, the food is absolutely worth it, and the constant crowd speaks for itself. Overall, great food, authentic Tijuana-style flavors, and a place I keep coming back to. If you’re craving authentic street tacos, Tacos Frontera is definitely worth a visit. 🌮🔥🇲🇽

Had an excellent experience at Tacos Fontera! The line was extremely long when we arrived, but it moved surprisingly fast thanks to the efficient and friendly staff. Every employee we interacted with was pleasant and welcoming, which made the atmosphere even better. The food came out hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. I ordered the steak tacos, and they were plentiful, flavorful, and packed with tender steak, onions, cilantro, and creamy guacamole. You can really taste the quality and freshness in every bite. A special shoutout to the manager, who brought out complimentary chicharrones for guests dining in — such a thoughtful touch and great customer service! Little gestures like that make a place stand out.

The absolute best tacos I’ve ever had. The place gets busy, for good reason. I’ve eaten here 4 times now and every time it has been delicious. The asada tacos have so much flavor. Massive amount of guacamole. Check their times cause they do shut down for an hour during the day. The jalapeño sauce is fantastic as well. Make sure you get some churros for something sweet as well.

One of the best tacos I’ve ever had! I especially loved the chicken tacos, they were fresh, flavorful, and exceeded my expectations. The mango margaritas were also really refreshing and paired perfectly with the food. When I visited for the first time on a weekend, there was a huge line to order, and I honestly wondered why so many people were waiting just for tacos. But after trying them, I completely understood the hype. The quality and taste make it absolutely worth the wait.

I have a Hispanic partner and he wanted me to try the food here. I was a little skeptical, but when I walked in and saw them grilling on the spot, I knew my food would be good and fresh. I had a chorizo vampiro….(best chorizo I’ve had in life) asada mulita, a pollo taco and an order of churros. Hands down, best introduction to authentic cuisine here in Houston!
