Having been featured on Triple D and shouted out by multiple locals, I was excited to give Lankford’s a try. The outside has a fun looking patio area and the inside features a cozy dining room showing off its 89 year old history. The service staff were all very welcoming and friendly. There were some regulars dining in as well being treated like old friends by the staff. Everyone seemed to be very comfortable as a team together, sending playful comments each other’s way front and back of house. For the food, I was feeling classic, so I ordered the cheeseburger and a side of onion rings and tater tots. The burger was simple and tasty with a mayo forward flavor, keeping to the classic feel of the place. The tater tots were good. The onions rings were the star of the show today! A big piece of onion on the inside with a crispy shell on the outside. I wish the order came with more than 4, though. If I had more room, I would have given in to try a piece of peach cobbler. Next time, for sure! I also want to come back and try their breakfast! My lunch today was on the higher side of $25 before tip, but I’m happy doing so for a fresh meal and local place that feels more welcoming than a chain restaurant. Overall Score: 7.8/10

Haven't been here since the late 90's. I was glad to see the charm remains and the menu expanded. These are old timey type burgers 🍔 somewhere between smash and big, thick types. They have creative options along with classic options. There are Tex-Mex items on the menu and for specials. The peach cobbler was great. Staff was fun and attentive. Definitely recommend stepping back into time visiting this Houston institution that's been around since 1937.

This place was a wonderful find, we got two bacon cheese burgers and curly fries as well as something called the Grim reaper. The burgers were large and very good. They weren't dry (a concern with large burgers), they had all the fixings, real tomatoes and onion and bacon. The fries were very crispy and perfect. Would love to come back and try some of the more adventurous burger options.

If you’re looking for an old-school burger done right, Langsford Grocery is a true gem. Serving the community since 1937, they know exactly what they’re doing. The burgers are fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, with that classic hometown taste that’s hard to find anymore. Friendly service, great food, and a place full of history—definitely worth the stop. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This place is a gem! The fried green tomatoes and classic cheeseburger were excellent. The restaurant sits on a quiet street corner, and the outdoor seating is surprisingly peaceful. Inside, everything is clean and has that nostalgic old-school diner feel. I’ll definitely be back!
