We remember when this store was a top-notch burger joint (RIP). While the cuisine has changed, it remains top-notch. . This was our first visit but won't be our last. We were greeted by owner Omar, who is enthusiastic about his food and business. Here guided us through our options and let us sample the delicious Afghan Rice. I am for sure getting that every visit. . My wife enjoyed the Shawarma Wrap while I tucked into a Gyro Plate. The only thing that wasn't 5/5 for me was the chickpea side. That's on me because I wasn't expecting a tomato sauce. It was fine, but didn't match my vibe. . There's lots to explore on our future visits. The desserts look terrific, for example. . We'll be back!

Ordered the double meat plate (gyro and kobideh) with rice, salad, and saucy fries. Man... that gyro is the meat you should go for without thinking twice — and honestly, double it. The seasoning balance was perfect, the kind you expect from really popular food spots, and the taste was completely on point. The salad was fresh and zesty. I’d probably skip the saucy fries next time though — this isn’t really the place for fries. I also got the mango lassi, and for the price, it’s definitely worth trying. I like how well they balanced the flavors in almost everything. Now the Dubai chocolate... they mentioned a Turkish baker comes in to make the chocolate and baklava, so my expectations got pretty high. Somehow, it still went beyond that. This isn’t like the usual store-bought Dubai chocolate at all — it’s much richer with a noticeably better flavor and texture, i felt like it was the same filling that's used in baklava and i liked it. Honestly, money well spent. And the service was great too. Ali handled my order, was very hospitable, and recommended the best items without wasting time. This place honestly checks almost all the boxes. 👍

Best hidden gem in sugar land!! The owner is always so accommodating, and when I tell you this is the best food EVER!!!! The gyro fries are to die for, my mom loves the eggplant side, and the kebabs and monster fries are beyond amazing. The lamb plates we get are also awesome the food is just honestly all around awesome. We’ve ordered from here a few times now, and it’s consistently hit the spot. Had to write a review hoping other people get to try it!!! Genuinely best gyro fries ever.

The ambience the customer service the food the cleanliness everything is five stars here Everything is five stars here. If you're looking for the freshest kabobs the freshest salad the freshest rice is absolutely incredible they don't put anything in the freezers they cook everything fresh it is absolutely delicious it does not sit on your stomach like heavy. Seasoning is perfect and the customer service is top tier I will never eat at another kabob spot in Houston again this is my new home for kabobs

Absolutely fantastic experience at Kabab Shack! The food is phenomenally fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. We ordered the mixed koobideh platter—both the chicken and beef skewers were perfectly charred, incredibly juicy, and generously drizzled with their signature white sauce and a dusting of sumac. The sides were just as impressive; the roasted eggplant and vibrant cucumber-tomato salad provided a great fresh contrast. We also had the grilled steak plate, which came with tender, well-seasoned bites alongside comforting, rich portions of chickpeas and lentil dips. Everything was served over perfectly cooked rice with warm pita. On top of the outstanding food, the service was top-notch—friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Highly recommend this spot on Dairy Ashford!
