This is a new Afghan halal kabab place in the Katy area. We went there for dinner on a Friday night. It was fairly empty but the food was really good. Staff were friendly and food was served quickly. I’ll go back and I’d also recommend.

Pretty good spot for some afghan dining. The restaurant itself is spacious enough with sitting for all different sizes of the group and is maintained well. We tried a few items including the mantu which was quite good as well as the tandoori chicken and the chapli kebab dinner with the Kabuli rice. Good tasting food and fair prices. The only thing lacking perhaps is some house sauces and some naan.

Soooooooo good! We came to Saffron Kabob House on Mason tonight! The Mantoo was so fresh and flavorful, the Bolani was toasted and tasty. We shared a naan and the Challow Kabob and it was seasoned perfectly. They need some Katy Foodies love! This place is reasonably priced and the food truly was first rate. We’re adding it to our rotation for sure! Forgot to take my own pics, but it looked just like these! 😋

The food portion is quite small and insufficient to satisfy hunger. Prices are high in comparison to other nearby restaurants with similar ambiance and pricing. Customer service was average; staff showed limited attentiveness and did not thoroughly explain the menu, which made it difficult to choose the appropriate portion sizes. The bread served is very small, about the size of few bite, and appears to be of low quality. Overall, the experience is average, with nothing particularly memorable about it. Additionally, some plates emit a noticeable moldy smell, possibly due to improper drying or storage. Half of the dessert options on the menu are unavailable, yet they are still listed, which is disappointing. Based on this experience, I do not think I will visit again.

I’m a fan of Afghani cuisine, but here you don’t feel the place is welcoming as soon as you walk in and the servers are slow. Ok to try and the prices are reasonable. I tried the lamb shank with pilao rice and the kabab with nana
