Not sponsored — just sharing a spot I genuinely loved. 🥰 I was searching for a healthy breakfast option and stumbled across @grainandberryrichmond. Let me just say… this place did NOT disappoint. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was inviting, the customer service was top-tier, and the food was absolutely delicious. One of my favorite surprises? The Cheesy Caprese Toast. Have you ever had avocado toast served caprese-style? 😮💨 It was topped with avocado, cherry tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil, herbs, balsamic glaze, and that glaze was the perfect sweet finish. I also love that you can mix and match two different toast options, so I paired it with the Best of Cluck Toast, which comes with hummus, plant-based chicken tenders, mozzarella, and chipotle aioli. So flavorful (and a little spicy)! For my drink, I ordered the Detox Juice and added ginger. It was incredibly refreshing with apple, basil, lemon, sea salt, and spirulina. And because I couldn’t stop there, I also tried the Feed the Soul Parfait made with yogurt, granola, kiwi, strawberries, pineapple, honey, and hemp seeds. The perfect balance of fresh, sweet, and satisfying. Safe to say I’ll definitely be back. If you’re looking for a healthy breakfast, brunch, or lunch spot in the area, this one is worth checking out. Have you been to Grain & Berry before? What’s your go-to order? 👇

I’ve been to Grain and Berry several times now, and this is the only location I’ve visited. When I first started coming here, I absolutely loved it. The food was consistently great and the experience was awesome overall. Recently, I’ve ordered the “You Pick Two” toast combo multiple times and have had a few occasions where the order was made incorrectly or certain selections were missed. On my most recent visit, two younger guys were working and when I asked for cinnamon on one of the toasts, I was initially told they didn’t have cinnamon at all. Since it’s listed on the menu and I’ve ordered it many times before, I asked if they were simply out at the moment. After a little back and forth, they realized they actually did have it. There was also a longer wait than expected because they said the toaster oven was still warming up, and my order hadn’t been started yet after about 5 - 10 minutes. That said, I do want to give credit where it’s due. The guys working were both very nice and polite, and once they got everything going, the toasts turned out really good. The food quality is still there, and I’ll definitely continue coming back. I just think there’s an opportunity for a little more consistency and training during some shifts.

I recently visited Grain and Berry and ordered the Açaí Bowl with blueberries, strawberries, and banana. The ingredients were very fresh, but the bowl itself lacked flavor. The açaí base with banana had almost no taste, it was bland and disappointing. The fruit toppings were fresh: plump blueberries, firm ripe bananas, and fresh strawberries. But freshness alone couldn't make up for the flavorless base. It reminded me of the açaí bowls at Main Squeeze, which also have no flavor. It was actually so tasteless, after about halfway through, I decided to toss it. My husband managed to get through his, but he said it was right on par with Main Squeeze, which is not a compliment. For comparison, the best açaí bowl I’ve had is at Juice It Up in Pearland, they still set the standard, fresh ingredients, full of flavor and a great price. Grain and Berry seems ideal for people who prioritize freshness over flavor, but I prefer both. Also, at $13.50, you expect to be wowed, instead I felt suckered. The portion size was good but I get the same serving size at Juice it Up for $4 less. The service was also disappointing. When I arrived for pickup, the employee behind the counter was busy preparing several orders. Instead of greeting and asking if I was picking up or needing to place an order, she simply said, “I’ll be with you,” and kept working. I stood there for more than five minutes before another employee came in and grabbed my order from the fridge directly behind her, something that would have taken 15 seconds to do. Recap: Taste: Fail Freshness: Pass Value: Fail Service: Fail Overall, while the ingredients were fresh, the bowl lacked flavor, the service was inattentive, and the price didn’t match the experience. No need to return.

Wow how refreshing it was to pop up here after a long walk outside! The atmosphere was so welcoming and we were met with kindness and smiles. The service was so efficient and quick. And my goodness….. this Açaí bowl was SOOOOO delicious. We got the Grain & Berry and it’s so so good oh my gosh! Mouth watering and so healthy.
