DaddyO's Pizza

Daddy O's in Katy has become my number 1 pizza place. The pizza is so delicious I could'nt stop eating! The establishment is very clean and has a friendly, relaxed vibe. We ordered the Margarita and Lucky 7 pizzas.

We were looking for a brick-oven or coal-fired pizza place in the Katy/Richmond area and decided to try Daddyo's after researching local options online. We usually enjoy Grimaldi's and wanted to try something different. Unfortunately, our experience did not meet our expectations. When we arrived, the atmosphere felt unwelcoming, and the customer service came across as unfriendly. We ordered the Meat Lovers pizza expecting a generous amount of toppings, but the pizza had much less meat than we anticipated. Additionally, when we picked up a slice, most of the toppings slid off, which made it difficult to eat and gave the impression that the pizza was not prepared as carefully as we expected. Considering the price, we expected a higher-quality pizza. In our opinion, the flavor and overall experience did not justify the cost, and the pizza reminded us more of a frozen store-bought pizza than a freshly made specialty pizza. We were disappointed, especially after reading positive reviews and hoping to find another great pizza option in the area. We're sharing this feedback in the hope that the owners will see it and take it into consideration. We would appreciate the opportunity to discuss our experience with management and see if there is a way to make things right. We also sent a message using their website. We genuinely wanted to enjoy our visit and hope future customers have a better experience.

First time here, decided to eat in to get fresh hot pizza. It was really hot coming out of the brick oven. We had the Margherita and the Queens Meat Lovers and they were both great. The sauce is really tasty with just a touch of heat, just right in my opinion.

I stopped by Daddy O Pizza and ordered a personal-sized custom pizza — it was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The crust was just right, and all the toppings tasted like quality ingredients. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. I really appreciated that they offer a veteran discount — it’s a great gesture of respect. Highly recommend for anyone craving a great local pizza spot with excellent service!

We now live in Texas from Alberta, Canada, and decided to try DaddyO's because of the reviews. Upon entering the unit, we were happily greeted by the crafters, even though they were quite busy preparing other orders and had patrons in their restaurant. We ordered three large pizzas, a Hawaiian, a Lucky 7, and the greek. The crafter that took our order told us it would be about 10 minutes, which we were quite impressed with the turnaround in time, and took a seat to wait. It was indeed about 10 to 11 minutes, and we took our pizzas home. Being a fire oven, we expected the crust to be a crusty and smoky flavour. The outer rim of the crust, although cooked perfectly, the middle was still wet and soggy, so when lifted from the box to the plate, the toppings slid off as well. The veggies on the Lucky 7 were raw. Taste-wise, the product is fresh, and the cheese has the perfect consistency. Out of all the pizzas, the greek with chicken, tomatoes (removed the onion and added black olives) was the best as it had parmesan on the top. The rest were missing spices. Second time around in the next after noon on reheating in the oven, proved to be better as it allowed the dough and veggies to actually cook. All in all, I am glad I tried the pizza. Would I order again, probably not.
