Tasty BBQ in historic Old Town Spring They have my favorite brisket due to its incredible tenderness, juiciness, flavor, and super-thin bark. Their jalapeño sausage is fanatic and Turkey is incredibly tender. I’d also recommend their coleslaw - it’s less sweet than other places and feels fresh. There can be a long line but it usually moves pretty quickly. Just review the menu while you’re in line with some backups in case they runout and be ready to order when you’re at the front.

I hate to say it, but I clearly don’t share the same taste as the judges who awarded this place a Michelin star two years in a row. I came in with high expectations, eager to see how it compared to other Houston barbecue spots I’ve tried. Unfortunately, it didn’t even crack my top three. It’s not bad — it’s just not exceptional or worthy of the Michelin recognition in my opinion. The service and system felt disorganized from the start. They assign numbers before opening, but no one actually enforces the order. Staff were happy to come out and sell drinks to people in line, yet the numbers themselves were largely ignored. It reminded me of going to the deli, where you might pull number 20 only to watch 21 through 35 get called ahead of you. When I politely mentioned it to the cashier, he just shrugged and said they sometimes get weird numbers and aren’t sure how it happens. It seems they’re more focused on selling drinks outside than managing the line properly. As for the food, the sides were nothing special. The only standout was the peach cobbler. The staff was friendly if that counts for anything. Overall, this was a one-and-done experience for me. I def won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend it to friends.

I came here on Thursday for lunch around 1130am on a seasonably warm and dry day in early April with one other person. We waited on the line for for about 30-40 minutes before ordering. We waited less than 10 minutes for the food to be available. There is a lot of seating both in door and outdoor. Much of the outdoor seating is covered. While standing in line, staff of the restaurant offered menus to review and also sold drinks or answered questions. Everyone I encountered at the restaurant was very lovely, patient, and professional. I had the brisket and jalapeño cheddar sausage. I thought the brisket was delicious and the sausage was good. I thought the restaurant could do better with side orders. The menu also is confusing, I ordered the Plate (there are four plate entrees with the same name but contain different things). I’m not sure why don’t separately label the plate names. I ordered the brisket plate and it came with nothing listed in the description (pickles, onions, jalapeños, and bread). Further, the bread was falling apart as I ate the sandwich. Overall the meat was good but everything else was lacking. I would recommend and I would go back.

The best bbq place in Houston area. Period! The brisket is like is grilled and it doesn't give you the taste like it is boiled as many places unfortunately do! Perfect smoked! The place is a true gem!

This is the BEST BBQ spot I've ever been to! The meat was phenomenal and perfectly moist, it even shines and you didn't need bbq sauce. The peach cobbler was the best I've had. I have no regrets coming here and will definitely be back in the future!
