Best Seafood in Kingwood, TX: Crawfish, Oysters and Lake Views

Date Published

Seafood Kingwood illustration: crawfish platter, oysters and sushi beside pine trees on Lake Houston

For seafood in Kingwood, TX, go to BB's Tex-Orleans on US 59 for boiled crawfish and Gulf oysters, and to Sharky's Waterfront Grill at Kings Harbor for oysters on the half shell with a view of Lake Houston. Chimichurri's, Zammitti's, Lupe Tortilla, Akashi, Nukumi, Poke Yana and Three B's Grill round out our nine picks, and every one was checked on its own official website in November 2026.

Here's the line to save: Kingwood has two different Kingwood Rolls. Akashi on Northpark Drive makes one with spicy salmon and eel, Nukumi down the road makes another stacked with tuna, salmon, yellowtail and baked eel, and both sushi bars also roll crawfish into their menus. In the Livable Forest, crawfish season doesn't stop at the boil.

How we define Kingwood

Kingwood is the forested community in northeast Houston, part of the City of Houston, with Lake Houston on its east side. For this guide we counted only places that print a Kingwood, TX address in the 77339 or 77345 ZIP codes: from Kings Harbor on West Lake Houston Parkway, along Kingwood Drive and Northpark Drive, out to the US 59 (I-69) frontage. We left out neighbors that print Humble, Atascocita or Porter, including the crawfish shops on FM 1960, and one Kingwood Drive chain whose own site lists its city as Houston.

How we chose

Every pick had to show a Kingwood address and current hours, a menu or live online ordering on its own official website when we checked in November 2026. We favored places where seafood is the point, or where one dish is worth the trip on its own. We left out restaurants whose official sites we couldn't reach or that showed no sign of being open, which ruled out a few long-running crawfish and Cajun names you may know.

Hours and menus change, and seafood depends on the catch. Treat every detail below as typical, and check the restaurant's site before you go.

The quick list

  • For boiled crawfish and a Gulf oyster dozen: BB's Tex-Orleans on US 59.
  • For oysters with a lake view: Sharky's Waterfront Grill at Kings Harbor.
  • For a dressed-up seafood dinner: Chimichurri's South American Grill at Kings Harbor.
  • For crab cakes and clam linguine: Zammitti's Italian Ristorante at Kings Harbor.
  • For Gulf shrimp, Tex-Mex style: Lupe Tortilla on Northpark Drive.
  • For crawfish sushi: Akashi or Nukumi, both on Northpark Drive.
  • For a quick poke bowl: Poke Yana on Northpark Drive.
  • For crawfish pasta with the game on: Three B's Grill on Kingwood Drive.

Where can you get crawfish in Kingwood?

BB's Tex-Orleans on US 59 is the year-round crawfish stop in Kingwood: it says it serves crawfish every day, in and out of season.

BB's Tex-Orleans

US 59 frontage, 25635 US-59 · Cajun and Tex-Orleans · open daily

BB's Tex-Orleans opened its Kingwood restaurant in 2021, and the brand dates back to November 2007, when it started in a 1,100-square-foot spot at Montrose and Westheimer in Houston. The Kingwood menu is built for crawfish people: crawfish by the pound in Tex-Orleans, Bayou Style or Citrus-Garlic seasoning, and the 5 Pound Mound, five pounds of seasoned crawfish with corn and potatoes, which BB's says is available all day, every day.

Insider tip: BB's says the Kingwood location serves live crawfish whenever it can get them during peak season, and premium flash-frozen crawfish the rest of the year. So the craving can be satisfied in October, too. Gulf oysters on the half shell are seasonal, and BB's lists half-price oyster dozens at happy hour, typically weekdays from 3 to 6 p.m.

What to order: the 5 Pound Mound, Maw Maw's Gumbo, and the Bedtime in the Bayou po'boy, BB's fried Gulf shrimp po'boy on Leidenheimer French bread. Wednesday is Water Creature Wednesday, with seafood specials all day.

Families: Tuesday is Kids Eat Free (two kids' meals per adult entree, ages 12 and under, dine-in only), and there's a covered patio. BB's says it closes only three days a year: Thanksgiving Day for dining, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Three B's Grill

Kingwood Drive, 4590 Kingwood Dr · sports grill

Three B's Grill on Kingwood Drive is a game-day grill, not a seafood house, but its Cajun Pasta is a sneaky crawfish fix: cavatappi with shrimp or crawfish, andouille sausage, smoked gouda and a creamy Cajun sauce. The menu also has Fish-N-Chips made with Alaskan cod, a shrimp platter you can order fried, grilled or blackened, and Dynamite Shrimp over Asian slaw. It is typically open from 11 a.m. daily, late on weekends, with happy hour from 2 to 6 p.m.

Oysters on the shell come by the half dozen or dozen, the po'boys come in shrimp, catfish, crawfish or oyster, and there's broiled or blackened redfish, crawfish étouffée and a creamy blue crab bisque called Captain Marty's Whiskey Crab. Order the Whale Shark Fried Platter if your table can't decide.

Insider tip: the menu has fried gator for the adventurous, and kids 12 and under get Build a Shark, a rice crispy treat shark they decorate themselves. Sharky's is typically open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, with weekday lunch specials and a Sunday brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The restaurant notes that fish supplies are based on availability.

Kings Harbor, 1660 West Lake Houston Pkwy · South American · closed Mondays

Chimichurri's South American Grill is the dressed-up seafood dinner in Kingwood, with its own dress code page, so read it before you go. The dish we'd drive for is Cangrejo Aleluya: a flash-fried soft-shell crab stuffed with crawfish and shrimp, served over champagne mushroom risotto. Also on the menu: Cebiche Peruano with shrimp and fish in spicy lemon, Uñitas de Cangrejo (crab fingers in lime and lemon butter with a Venezuelan arepa), and Pargo Pistachio, a pistachio-crusted baby snapper with seared scallops.

Chimichurri's typically opens for lunch and dinner Tuesday to Friday and for dinner only on weekends.

Zammitti's Italian Ristorante

Kings Harbor, 1660 West Lake Houston Pkwy, Suite 101 · Italian · open daily

Zammitti's Italian Ristorante brought Sicilian-style cooking to Kings Harbor in 2011, according to the tall tale printed on its own menu, which cheerfully admits that some of its facts are not facts at all. The seafood is real: Crab Cakes in lemon butter sauce, Crab Stuffed Jalapeño, Linguini with Clam Sauce, Lobster Ravioli and a Crab Topped Chilled Avocado when it's available. Zammitti's is typically open from 11 a.m. daily, until 9 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Nukumi Japanese Steak House

Northpark Drive, 20045 Northpark Dr, Suite 400 · hibachi and sushi · open daily

Nukumi Japanese Steak House is a hibachi room with a long sushi menu. Its spicy crawfish roll tops crabmeat and avocado with crawfish, masago and spicy mayo, and the American Dream roll wraps crawfish, snow crab and cream cheese in soybean paper before frying it. Nukumi's version of the Kingwood roll is the big one: tuna, salmon and cucumber inside, topped with salmon, tuna, yellowtail and baked eel. At the hibachi grill, the seafood deluxe brings jumbo shrimp, sea scallops and lobster tail. On weekdays Nukumi typically closes between lunch and dinner.

Poke Yana

Northpark Drive, 1414 Northpark Dr · poke and boba

Poke Yana is the fast, casual seafood stop in Kingwood. Build a bowl, or order a signature: the Fat Boy with ahi tuna and salmon, the Unagi Don with baked eel, or The Texans, a sushi-rice burrito in a seaweed wrap with tuna, salmon, jalapeño, mango and crab salad. It's typically open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and it pours boba too.
