- Best Patio Restaurants and Bars in Tomball, TX: 8 Places Outside
The best patio restaurants and bars in Tomball, TX are clustered in two places: a row of side-by-side patios on Market Street in Old Town, and a handful of big outdoor spaces along State Highway 249. Our eight picks run from a shaded wine patio beside the historic railroad depot to a food truck park with a 1,000-square-foot porch and beach volleyball courts off the highway. Every place below was confirmed open through its own website, with patio details from that site or the official Visit Tomball directory.
Here's the line to remember: in Old Town Tomball, three patios sit at 102, 104 and 106 Market Street, so you can eat tacos, drink Texas wine and order a loaded potato without moving your car.
How we chose
We picked places where sitting outside is a real part of the visit: a patio, porch, bier garten or outdoor court, described on the business's own site or its Visit Tomball listing. Each one had to be operating, per its official website, in November 2026.
How we define Tomball: Old Town, the historic district around Main Street, Market Street and the railroad depot, plus businesses with a Tomball address along State Highway 249 (Tomball Parkway) south to the Grand Parkway. We left out Spring, Cypress, Magnolia and the Creekside Park side of The Woodlands, even where the mailing address is close.
About dogs: we only call a patio dog-friendly when the business says so on its own site. On this list, that's 403 EATS. For everywhere else, call ahead before you bring your dog. Hours change too, so treat every schedule below as "typically" and check the official site before you go.
