- Best Patios in Memorial, Houston: 8 Restaurants and Bars Outside
The best patio restaurants and bars in Memorial, Houston are clustered in two places: CityCentre at I-10 and Beltway 8, where The Allegory Bar, RA Sushi and Bellagreen share one walkable plaza, and Memorial City around Gessner Road, home to Perry's Steakhouse & Grille, KUU and the poolside terrace at Hotel ZaZa. Farther west on Memorial Drive and Dairy Ashford, Dish Society and Becks Prime cover the casual end.
Here's the twist for dog owners: none of the eight restaurants below publishes a dog-friendly patio policy on its own website. The most dog-friendly outdoor space in Memorial isn't a restaurant at all. It's CityCentre, which says on its official visitor page that it's pet-friendly in its common areas, for leashed domestic pets.
The quick list
- Best terrace for a cocktail: The Allegory Bar at The Moran CityCentre, overlooking the CityCentre green.
- Best shaded patio: RA Sushi at CityCentre, which says its patio is covered.
- Best patio with a pool view: Tipping Point Restaurant and Terrace at Hotel ZaZa Memorial City.
- Best steakhouse patio: Perry's Steakhouse & Grille in Memorial City, where Bar 79 opens onto the patio.
- Best patio for sushi and a date: KUU on Gessner Road.
- Best patio for a weekday social hour: Dish Society on Memorial Drive.
- Best patio with kids: Becks Prime on Dairy Ashford, with a kids menu and outdoor dining.
- Best healthy-ish patio lunch: Bellagreen at CityCentre.
Where does Memorial start and stop?
For this guide, Memorial is the part of west Houston between Loop 610 and State Highway 6, with the Katy Freeway (I-10) to the north and Buffalo Bayou to the south. That takes in Memorial City, CityCentre, the Memorial Villages and the Memorial Drive corridor, and it matches the boundary in our Memorial date night guide. The western end overlaps what many people call the Energy Corridor. Dish Society and Becks Prime sit on that seam, and we flag it below. Places east of Loop 610, such as those near Memorial Park, are left out.
How we chose
Every pick on this list was checked as operating on its own official website in November 2026, and each one mentions a patio, terrace or outdoor dining on that site. We didn't include places where only reviews or third-party lists mention outdoor seating. Where a site says the patio is covered, we say so. Where it doesn't, we don't promise shade.
Dog notes come only from official policy pages. If a restaurant doesn't publish one, we say so, and you should ask the host before you bring your dog. Hours and happy hours change often, so treat every time below as "typically" and check the official site before you go.
CityCentre: park once, three patios
CityCentre at Town & Country Boulevard is Memorial's easiest patio outing: park once and walk between all three places. CityCentre says parking is free on the upper levels of its three garages, with valet also available.
1. The Allegory Bar at The Moran CityCentre
CityCentre, 800 Sorella Court, second floor · cocktail bar and terrace · evenings
The Allegory Bar inside The Moran CityCentre hotel has the best-placed terrace in Memorial, looking out over the CityCentre green. The cocktail list is the reason to go: try the Pretty Horses, The Crossing or Gates of the Alamo, and order the coffee-rubbed cowboy ribeye if you're staying for dinner. Happy hour typically runs Monday to Friday from 4 to 6 p.m., with classic cocktails at a set price.
Insider tip: the bar says reservations aren't required for parties of up to eight, so a group can walk up for sunset drinks.
Dogs: The Moran's FAQ says the hotel doesn't allow pets, except service animals. Leave the dog at home for this stop.
2. RA Sushi Houston City Centre
CityCentre, 799 Town and Country Boulevard, Suite 234 · sushi bar and covered patio · open daily until midnight
RA Sushi at CityCentre is the pick when the sun is out, because its own FAQ says the outdoor seating is a covered patio. Order the Yellowtail Crispy Rice or the Hibachi Burrito, which rolls fried rice and teriyaki into a burrito. The kitchen and bar typically stay open until midnight every day, so it also works for a late bite.
Insider tip: happy hour at RA Sushi CityCentre typically runs all day on Monday and Tuesday, with items priced at $3, $6 or $9. RA notes that Texas law ends drink specials at 11 p.m.
Best for: a group that wants shade, sushi and cheap drinks on a Monday.
3. Bellagreen CityCentre
CityCentre, 800B Town & Country Boulevard · casual restaurant · open daily, weekend brunch
Bellagreen is the easygoing lunch on this list. The menu invites you to eat in the dining room or on the patio, and its signature dishes include Brick Chicken and Wagyu Meatball Pasta. Brunch is typically served until 2:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, and weekday happy hour typically runs 3 to 5 p.m.
Good to know: Bellagreen has served guests since 2008, and its official site says every location gives back to its local community.
Dogs: Bellagreen doesn't publish a patio dog policy. CityCentre's common areas are pet-friendly for leashed pets, so a stroll around the plaza before or after is fine.
For more around the plaza, see our CityCentre guide.
Memorial City: steak, sushi and a pool view
Memorial City's patios sit along the Katy Freeway and Gessner Road, a few minutes from Memorial City Mall.
4. Perry's Steakhouse & Grille, Memorial City
Memorial City, 9827 Katy Freeway · steakhouse, bar and patio · dinner nightly
Perry's describes its island Bar 79 as opening onto an outdoor patio for al fresco dining. In our view, that makes it the most polished patio in Memorial. The order is Perry's Famous Pork Chop "Bites" and the Signature Fried Asparagus.
Insider tip: Perry's runs a dine-in Social Hour in Bar 79 that typically starts at 4 p.m.; check the official site for the current days and times.
Best for: an early steak dinner outside before it gets dark.
5. KUU Restaurant
Gateway Memorial City, 947 Gessner Road, Suite A180 (behind the Westin) · modern Japanese · lunch weekdays, dinner nightly
KUU (pronounced "koo") says its name translates to "the art of eating," and its seating includes the dining room, the sushi bar and the patio. Ask for an outdoor table when you book, because KUU recommends reservations and asks for special seating requests in advance. Dinner typically starts at 4:30 p.m. every night, with lunch on weekdays and Sunday.
Best for: date night. More ideas in our Memorial date night guide.
6. Tipping Point Restaurant and Terrace at Hotel ZaZa Memorial City
Memorial City, inside Hotel ZaZa Memorial City · hotel restaurant and terrace · breakfast to late night
Tipping Point Restaurant and Terrace offers al fresco dining with a view over The Beach Club, Hotel ZaZa's resort-style pool. It opens for breakfast and typically stays open until midnight Sunday to Thursday and 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, with morning, power lunch, dinner and bar menus. The hotel says poolside dining is available seasonally.
I didn't know that: Hotel ZaZa says it's about a seven-minute walk from Memorial City Mall, so you can shop, then cross over for a drink by the pool.
Good to know: the hotel says Tipping Point and the pool area may have age limits at certain hours. Hotel ZaZa Memorial City welcomes cats and dogs for overnight guests (with a deposit), but it doesn't say whether dogs can join you on the restaurant terrace, so ask first.
Memorial Drive and Dairy Ashford: casual patios out west
These two sit at the western edge of Memorial, where it meets the Energy Corridor.
7. Dish Society, Memorial
Memorial Drive, 12525 Memorial Dr., Suite 145 · farm-to-table cafe · open daily from 7 a.m.
Dish Society's Memorial location opened in 2017 and pitches itself for a laid-back lunch on the patio. The menu is the same seed-oil-free menu as the other locations: Shrimp & Grits with smoked gouda grits, a Brisket Stuffed Sweet Potato and House Beignet Bites. It's typically open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday to Wednesday and until 10 p.m. Thursday to Saturday.
Insider tip: weekday Social Hour typically runs from opening to 9 a.m. and again from 2 to 6 p.m., and Dish Society says kids eat free on Tuesdays. Dish Society labels this location as Energy Corridor eating; by our boundary, it's Memorial.
Best for: a weekday patio break, or breakfast after a morning walk. More in our Memorial brunch guide.
8. Becks Prime, Dairy Ashford
West Memorial, 1202 Dairy Ashford · mesquite-grilled burgers · open daily 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Becks Prime's Dairy Ashford location lists outdoor dining, a kids menu, and beer and wine, which makes it the easiest family patio in west Memorial. Order Bill's Burger. Everything is cooked to order over mesquite coals.
I didn't know that: the first Becks Prime opened on Kirby Drive in 1985 with a double drive-thru and an open-air patio. The company also says its beef is ground fresh daily and the only freezer in the place is for the beer mugs.
Best for: families, and anyone who wants a patio burger without a reservation. More in our Memorial burger guide.
Can you bring your dog to a Memorial patio?
Sometimes, but no restaurant on this list publishes a dog-friendly patio policy, so ask the host before you sit down. CityCentre's official rules say its common areas are pet-friendly for leashed domestic pets, and owners have to clean up after them. The Moran CityCentre doesn't allow pets other than service animals. For patios that do publish a dog policy, see our citywide dog-friendly patios guide.
