Warehouse Live is an independently owned Houston concert venue, with two rooms — the Ballroom and the Studio — that handle everything from intimate touring acts to standing-room crowds of 1,300. The venue relocated from its original EaDo warehouse on St Emanuel Street to 2600 Travis Street in [Midtown](/areas/midtown-houston) in late 2023, opening in a 13,000-square-foot space with a retractable roof, VIP lounges and a balcony. If you have tickets and need to know which room you're walking into, what to leave at home, and where to eat beforehand, this is the guide.
Ballroom vs. Studio: which room is yours?
Your ticket or the Warehouse Live event page will name the room. Here is what each one means.
The Ballroom holds up to 1,300 standing or 500 for seated events. It is the main stage — rock, hip-hop, Latin and tribute acts typically play here. The room has a balcony for ticketed VIP access and a full bar at the back.
The Studio holds up to 450 standing or about 200 for seated shows. Smaller touring acts, comedy nights and niche-genre shows tend to go here. The sight lines are tight and the sound carries well at intimate volumes, making it the better room if you care about being close to the stage.
The Greenroom is a third space that seats roughly 125 to 150. It is used primarily for private events and small showcases and rarely appears on the public ticketing calendar.
If you are unsure which room your show is in, check the event listing on the Warehouse Live website — the room is listed alongside the ticket tier.
Is this show all ages?
Warehouse Live's default policy is all ages unless the event listing says otherwise. Each individual listing will note if a show is 18-plus or 21-plus, so check the event page before you buy. A valid government-issued photo ID is required to purchase alcohol, served to guests 21 and older.
What not to bring: bag rules
The venue enforces a strict bag policy. No bags larger than 12 inches wide by 6 inches deep by 12 inches tall. That rules out most backpacks, CamelBaks and standard drawstring bags. Small purses within those dimensions are allowed but will be searched at entry.
Also prohibited: weapons of any kind, professional camera equipment with detachable lenses, laser pointers, outside food or beverages, electronic smoking devices, opened cigarette packs, spiked jewelry and wallet chains. Photographers on assignment should confirm press credentials with the venue before the show — not at the door.
Where to park at Warehouse Live
The closest parking garage is at 2811 Travis Street, about a two-minute walk from the entrance. Two paid surface lots — at 2020 Travis Street and 1820 Milam Street — are within a ten-minute walk. The Mid Main Garage is typically the lowest-cost option in the area, starting around $4. Midtown Park has underground parking at roughly $5.
If you are coming from outside the loop, the METRORail Main Street line stops at Wheeler Station, about six blocks from the venue — the practical option on a sold-out night when surface parking fills up.

How we chose
We looked for bars and restaurants within 0.75 miles of 2600 Travis Street confirmed open via their own official websites as of October 2026, each with a clear reason to visit — a strong cocktail list, a full kitchen, a great outdoor space or a notable piece of Houston bar history. We left out spots with closed or uncertain hours, and excluded The Rustic, which is temporarily closed while relocating.
Pour Behavior — 2211 Travis St (5-minute walk)
The closest full-service option, on the same street as the venue. Pour Behavior opens at 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 11 a.m. on weekends, with a kitchen that serves dinner. Order the South Texas Fire burger or the spinach artichoke dip before the show; the Smash N Dash cocktail (Bombay gin, tonic, mixed berry, sage, lemon, celery bitters) is the signature drink. Check hours on the official site before you go.
The Dogwood — 2403 Bagby St (7-minute walk)
A two-level bar with a rooftop and Southern-influenced food. The Hill Country Cooler (gin, cucumber, lime) and the shrimp and grits are the reliable orders. Opens at 4 p.m. weekdays and 2 p.m. Saturdays. The rooftop fills quickly on concert nights, so arrive 90 minutes early if you want a table.
Little Woodrow's Midtown — 2306 Brazos St (8-minute walk)
Houston's beloved backyard bar chain has a Midtown outpost on Brazos Street. The RC Ranch Wagyu Smash Burger is $10 and reliably good. Twenty-two beers on tap, cornhole out back and happy hour specials on weeknights. Opens at 1 p.m. weekdays and 11 a.m. weekends.
Social Beer Garden HTX — 3101 San Jacinto St (10-minute walk)
Named Houston Chronicle Best Bar in both 2025 and 2026. Forty-four beers on draft — including Saint Arnold and Karbach — plus wine and cocktails. Pizza comes from a Pizzaforno machine on the outdoor patio. Dog-friendly. Opens at 3 p.m. weekdays and noon on weekends.
Insider tip: the butterfly pea-infused tequila margarita changes color as you drink it — order one and it will photograph itself.
Two Headed Dog — 3100 Fannin St (10-minute walk)
A craft cocktail bar dressed as a dive. The pickle michelada and the Hugo Spritz are the orders. No food menu, so eat first and come here for a drink before walking the last few blocks to the venue. Happy hour runs 5 to 6 p.m. with $3 drinks. Opens daily at 4 p.m.
Jethro's Cocktail Lounge — 95 Tuam St (11-minute walk)
The $7 smashburger and fries before 7 p.m. is among the best pre-show deals in Midtown. Jethro's also makes a strong carajillo and the Cheers to Papa cocktail (sage-infused gin, cantaloupe, lemon). Opens at 4 p.m. weekdays, 3 p.m. Fridays, 1 p.m. Saturdays, noon Sundays.
Leon's Lounge — 1006 McGowen St (13-minute walk)
Established in 1947, Leon's is one of Houston's oldest continuously operating bars. No pretense, cheap well drinks and a jukebox. No food menu. Worth the detour if you want a piece of Houston bar history on the same night as a show.
Axelrad Beer Garden — 1517 Alabama St (15-minute walk or short rideshare)
At the far edge of the walking radius: $3.50 drafts all day, 30-plus taps, hammocks strung between trees and pizza from Luigi's next door. Go early and stay a couple of hours, then rideshare the last 0.75 miles to the venue. Opens at 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday and noon Friday through Sunday; 21-plus after 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 8 p.m. on weekends.
Making a game-day and concert night out of it
Warehouse Live Midtown sits about 1.5 miles from the Daikin Park, Toyota Center and Shell Energy Stadium cluster in EaDo. If you are making a full sports-and-concert day, 8th Wonder Brewery at 2202 Dallas Street in EaDo is the pre-game standard — order the Dome Faux'm cream ale (named for the Astrodome, the original eighth wonder of the world) in its outdoor shipping-container beer garden, then rideshare to Midtown. Pitch 25 Beer Park at 2120 Walker Street has 65-plus taps and an indoor soccer pitch co-founded by former Houston Dynamo star Brian Ching. See our EaDo restaurant guide for more.
For other Houston concert venues, the Houston concert venues guide covers everything from arenas to tiny clubs, with parking and bag notes for each.
