I recently had my wheels powder coated gloss black and my brake calipers painted Hydro Blue on my 2018 Ram 1500 Sport, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The quality of the work exceeded my expectations. The wheels came out flawless with an even, smooth finish, and the calipers look factory-installed. The team kept me updated throughout the process, completed the work on time, and even pointed out a bent wheel that they repaired while everything was apart. Their attention to detail really shows. With their great reviews, I was excited to bring over my wheels to get them refurbished for a project car. Dropped them off 4/7/2026, and had expectations high with my interaction with a sales associate and the manager. I hadn’t heard back after a week, so I tried to get some updates starting around 4/15/2026. Eventually heard back and my wife picked up my wheels 4/22/2026. She was initially given the wrong wheel (how does that even happen? pictured below). We paid $1700 for the refurbishing and refinishing of the wheels, and that’s where I made another mistake - paying before verifying the work. The lips were not polished completely with obvious gashes. The powdercoat was oversprayed. There were areas in the powdercoat at the screws where the coat was already cracking. During the initial drop off, I verified with the manager to see if they could handle multi piece wheels specifically, and he confirmed they could. I wanted to give them a second shot, so I reached out. Their text services said I could return for a warranty repair. I asked to confirm I could bring them back on a Friday, 5/1/2026, and they said yes. When I arrived at the store, they tried to turn me away noting they only did warranties on Monday - Wednesday. The fact that needed specific days for warranty work was a red flag - how often do they have issues with their work? They eventually okayed me to leave it there, especially when I told them there wasn’t any rush I just wanted them done correctly. Called 5/19/2026 and was told I would get a call back. Never heard back. Called again today, and they said the wheels were ready. I asked them to visually check to see if they were ready, and after a brief hold they confirmed they were ready. Picked them up with only additional dust as the change from when I dropped them off. Even the orange tape where there were issues were left on the wheels. Don’t waste your money. $1700 is typical for a full refurbish of a multi piece wheel, but this was obviously not close to that. They are smooth talkers to get you in the door, but afterwards, especially once they have your money, the product doesn’t support the price. The office seems unorganized, and there doesn’t seem to be someone in charge. The quality control you’d need for your wheels is not present.

Thank you Sandra, Tracy and Cory at the Houston Wheel Repair for taking EXCELLENT care of my Porsche! I stumbled upon them when searching for a minor wheel repair service online. After visiting their shop I ended up discussing powder coating and caliper painting options as well. After all was said and I done left with fresh powder coating and custom caliper PTS job that exceeded my expectations. They were friendly, efficient and most importantly overly communicative. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for wheel services.
